My first relationship was back when I was seventeen at high school in 2011. It is still the most impressive relationship where I put the real me completely with all my emotions, therefore the most painful one when it ended. I have got rid of everything related to that relationship, however, after so many years, some memories still come across my mind, which does not actually feel completely nothing. 

There are also lots of theory behind: Tabula Rasa, the connection between emotions and memories, flashbacks or intrusive thoughts and so on. 

My photos attempt to convey this theme through the use of white closed room, fridge, souvenirs, fire and ash or dirty room. The cleanness of the white room indicates my initial innocence in relationships. Fridge is used to extend shelf life in daily life, similar to my expectation of relationships to last. The power of fire to destroy and make things disappear stands for the desire to erase some memories. After burning, it leaves trace of burnt souvenirs, sometimes invisible but existing everywhere. The white room turns dirty with ash all over the place. It is the evidence of irreversible memories.
