I tend to see those I am attracted to lights in the darkness and cannot help myself but getting close to them even if they are deadly, like a moth to the flame. As moths actually fly around light sources rather than directly towards them, the movements in the moving images are similar. Also inspired by a weather condition called whiteout, where visual references are significantly reduced or completely blocked, which leads to an inability to position yourself relative to the surroundings and an individual may experience a loss of kinesthesia, confusion, loss of balance and an overall reduction in the ability to operate. This condition also happens in “relationships” especially towards the ends. So, in the moving images, it is always blur, disoriented, and it ends with a whiteout in each round. There’re 15 rounds in this work, with a repetitive logic, which indicates my repetitive experiences in different “relationships”, and the number may go on.
